30 Jan 14th Birthday Party at San Luis Obispo Country Club
On 1/17/13 one of my good friends and fellow DJ’s asked me to help him DJ a 14 year old birthday party out at the San Luis Obispo Country Club. Because I do a lot of school dances, youth church dances, bar/bat mitzvahs, etc he thought it would be a good idea to have someone who could help get the kids pumped up and involved. The results were awesome! The kids were dancing the entire night and by the time we had to leave, the kids were sweating and completely exhausted. To me, that is a good sign that the kids had a good time! We did play some of the more traditional games and dances (Coke/Pepsi, Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle, etc), these kids were really into the new top 40 and hip hop, which is what we stuck to for the entire evening. The most requested song of the evening was Thrift Shop by Macklemore. Luckily we had a very clean edit of this song that is appropriate for teen dances.
