Avoid These Etiquette Mistakes When Planning Your Wedding

Planning a wedding is a big task! You will have to make an array of decisions in order to fulfill the vision that you have for your once in a lifetime celebration. However, with so many tasks that must be completed, you will certainly want to ensure that you are making the right choices.

Reasons Why You Should Have Up-Lighting at Your Wedding

Are you aware of how to properly present the details for your big day?

We believe that every wedding should be planned to perfection! That’s why, here at Epic Entertainment, we have gathered some wedding planning etiquette mistakes that you will want to avoid making. If you would like to learn what these mistakes are, be sure to continue reading:

  • Give Me Gifts. Your wedding guests will want to present you with gifts as a way to congratulate you on your nuptials! And, let’s be honest, you certainly won’t mind receiving them! However, making it seem as though you are straight-up asking for a gift isn’t the way you should go about it. Therefore, you should avoid presenting your gift registry information on your invitations, but rather as a separate insert, or even among a wedding website you can create. This way, it doesn’t appear obligatory, but rather as a gesture that they can take part in offering if they choose to.
  • You Aren’t Invited. You will be inviting an abundance of guests to your big day! And, most of them will most likely have a family or significant other who they would like to join them as they celebrate your big day with you. It is important to address your invitations to entire families, and not just the one individual that you are inviting. So, rather than an invitation going to “Mr. John Smith”, present it as “The Smith Family”, or “Mr. & Mrs. Smith”. This way, your guests don’t have to wonder if their significant other can attend too, which could have them feeling uncertain and awkward.
  • Thanks, But No Thanks. After your wedding, you will get the chance to celebrate and open the many gifts that you have received! While this will be incredibly exciting for you and your partner, there is one task that you will want to ensure that you don’t overlook, and that would be sending out “Thank You” cards. As you open your gifts, be sure to write down what your received and from who, so that you can create and send personalized notes to your guests to showcase your appreciation.

You certainly won’t want to make any etiquette mistakes as you plan your wedding! These are just a few that you will want to keep in mind as you create your own big day.
