Miles has been in the local DJ scene for years! Not only has he rocked just about every club in the area, he is an avid house producer and loves making his own beats!

What is your philosophy on taking requests from guests?

I’m open to guest requests, but I treat them as suggestions, not automatic plays. My first priority is the couple and the overall vision they have for the night. Before I play anything, I filter it through their preferences, their do not play list, and the crowd's energy at that moment. If a guest asks for something that fits, I’m happy to work it in. If they request something that would completely kill the momentum or go against what the couple wants, I know how to handle it professionally, with a smile. The goal is to make guests feel heard while still protecting the flow of the night and keeping the party where it needs to be.

What’s your go-to style for making announcements and MCing the evening?

My style on the mic is polished, clear, and confident. I know how to bring energy when the moment calls for it, but I always keep it professional and natural. I never want the mic to feel distracting or forced, it should support the night, not take attention away from it. A big part of that is preparation. I always confirm the timeline, I double check pronunciations, and stay ready for the key moments so announcements feel smooth and intentional.

What was the most memorable moment you’ve witnessed from behind the DJ booth?

One of the most memorable parts of weddings for me is seeing the moment when the room fully comes together. Everyone starts off in their own conversations or groups, and then all of a sudden the energy shifts and the dance floor is packed. You can feel that change in real time. That always stands out to me because it’s more than just people dancing. It’s everyone being present, connected, and genuinely enjoying the moment together. Being able to help create that is one of my favorite parts of what I do.

Beyond the music, what do you think is a DJ’s most important job on the wedding day?

Beyond the music, I think a DJ’s most important job is helping the entire day flow smoothly. A wedding has many moving parts, and the DJ plays a big role in keeping the timeline on track, coordinating with the other vendors, and ensuring important moments happen as planned. I see it as being a steady presence throughout the day. That means communicating well, staying organized, and helping reduce stress for the couple so they can stay present and enjoy their wedding. Anyone can play songs, but being able to manage flow, support the team, and help create a smooth experience from start to finish is what really makes the difference.

He introduced everyone perfectly, kept us on schedule, adjusted the schedule based on how much fun the crowd was having dancing and played all of the music we asked for (from country to Spanish guitar to 80s to hip hop). Amazing! All of our guests had a blast, and we did to! If we ever need a DJ on the central coast again, he is the man!
